For students who’ve completed our Intro class and Guided Play and are ready to go beyond the basics. We break down the strategy and scoring mechanics that make Hong Kong-style mahjong one of the most dynamic tile games in the world.
We’ll cover:
How to read the table - tracking discards and anticipating what other players are building
Hand-building strategy - when to commit, when to pivot, and how to spot a winning shape early
Hong Kong scoring - points and how to calculate what a winning hand is actually worth
Common scoring hands and which ones are worth chasing.
